Medical - Prop 215

In the beginning of the 1980s the deadly AIDS epidemic suddenly erupted. San Francisco was the epicenter and Dennis Perone was one of the leaders in the fight to prove that cannabis was a helpful medicine in the palliative care for AIDS patients.

In 1996, Dennis Perone and his team helped push Proposition 215 which legalized Medical Marijuana in California.

Today, 37 states, the District of Columbia and 4 U.S. territories all have laws permitting cannabis for medical use. As the stigma against cannabis slowly wanes, newly allowed research has already identified more cannabinoids in certain strains of cannabis. Further research will undoubtedly uncover more helpful uses for this amazing plant.
